CFGV acts as the fiduciary for the Foundation, the Foundation’s funds are professionally managed and as such the Foundation conforms with all IRS 501(c)3 regulations as a publicly supported, nonprofit charitable organization. Your contribution is secure, and is fully tax deductible.

In an effort to provide an on-going operating budget to support the initiatives outlined above, the Crested Butte Rotary Foundation Fund seeks 3-year donation commitments. What does the Crested Butte Rotary Club really do? Of course, many residents and visitors are familiar with our sole fundraising event – the annual Rubber Duckie Race. This fundraiser raises over $40,000 from the Duckie Race proceeds.

The Community Need is Growing: The Duckie Race is not enough – the youth in our community need our support and we need to increase our scholarship fund to stay in step with the increasing student population. Twenty students was a large graduating class 5 years ago, the graduating class of 2014 is well over forty students and there are over seventy students in the 3rd Grade.
